Laboratoria Smeets N.V.
is located in Belgium in the Antwerp area. The company is privately owned , employs 40 people and specializes in blending and packaging of pharmaceutical powders. We have 2 manufacturing sites with a total of 5200 m² manufacturing space.
Since its inception, Laboratoria Smeets has excelled in manufacturing of powders. From blending to packaging, all processes are performed in line with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) conditions in a dedicated facility.

They can be bulky and hard to handle, but with the right experience and equipment the powder market still holds a lot of promise.

We produce roughly 300 million sachets per year. Our runs are small to medium size.
Powder Transformation
Talcum in a dispenser is another specialty of Laboratoria Smeets. Another quite bulky pharmaceutical product.
If you want your product in sealed and stiched 25 kg bags, Laboratoria Smeets can do it for you.

We are not marketing products to end-users but we are delivering service as needed.
Offering solutions:
Pharmaceutical products in powder form are a niche product. Powders offer the advantage of fast absorption.
The ingestion of powders in solutions prove to be more comfortable than the intake of large, bulky tablets.

The packaging of powders is typically in sachets which offer better barrier properties than PVC blisters.
Nauta Blender
If required, we can assist our customers with the formulation of their products.
Laboratoria Smeets own a number of registered products which are offered to customers for distribution through their channels (see white paper).
We have special patented technology in order to improve the solubility of some API’s.
Dual sachets can contain powder and liquid, and can be mixed by simple pressure breaking the separating seal between the sachets. This resolves some of the typical stability issues.
