Thanks to screen-printing with a special transparent paint which allows for the application of raised decorations,
Bormioli Rocco has produced plastic pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging with Braille information for the visually impaired.
The needs of disabled consumers have been given equal priority with those of the customer, to whom the Plastics Division offers great flexibility in terms of both quantity and decoration. Bormioli Rocco has |
engineered a technical solution which allows for an initial phase in which the pack is decorated according to the customer’s specifi cations, followed by a final phase in which
Braille is applied by means of screen-printing.
Since the varnish
is transparent, the Braille inscription can be printed on top of other decorations applied to pharmaceutical and cosmetics bottles.
This technology responds to our customers’ stated need to comply
with applicable regulations in certain countries, where the use of Braille on packaging is mandatory. |
